there are several species of trees in southern ontario that we can use for making tree syrup. at the moment we are selling our back to back to black Maple syrup . it is a unique blend of black walnut and black maple. at tap4sap we use only stainless steel vessels for boiling down the sap and we also do not use any defoamers. most of the syrup you can purchase at the grocery store is reduced using reverse osmosis . this process removes some of the tannins and removes the robust flavour that you will experience when consuming our syrups.this year we are expanding our selections of syrup to include silver birch. stay tuned!!!
